The National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) has re-advertised the position of Chief Executive Officer(CEO) recruitment exercise after they were suspended last week.
In an advert seen by this writer, it has also invited suitable candidates to submit their applications for various top management positions by July 19, 2023.
Among the positions re-advertised are the Beneficiary and Provider Management Director, Financial Services Director, Corporate Services Director, ICT Director, and Internal Audit Director.
Last week, the fund’s acting CEO Samson Kuhora suspended hiring a new CEO to start the process afresh.
He will serve for a three-year term with the possibility of one final extension at the end of the period.

“The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible to the Board of Management for providing strategic leadership in the operational, financial and management of NHIF through the development and implementation of strategic plans and effective management of resources to achieve NHIF’s overall mandate.”
“S/He will be expected to take lead in transforming NHIF towards achieving UHC as per Government’s agenda.”
Applicants are expected to meet minimum qualification thresholds such as being a Kenyan citizen, a member of a professional body, and at least ten years of experience at the senior management level, among others.
