Ndiritu Muriithi, a former governor of Laikipia county, was detained today while spearheading anti-government demonstrations in Nyahururu town.
The angry Azimio la Umoja movement Secretariat is reportedly asking the police what crime they have committed by holding demonstrations today, according to the posted footage.
Police, not prepared to respond to his question, advise him to remain silent because they will inform him of his error while he is in their custody.
"Police have detained @NdirituMuriithi at the Nyahururu police station after arresting him there. stating that they will give a statement at the police station. The impunity and lawlessness on exhibit by @NPSC_KE is clearly in defiance if the constitution and rule of law!" Posted was Maria Mbenekam.
