Silas Jakakimba on Thursday tendered his resignation as the legal advisor for Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga.
The former Raila Odinga’s Aide says his resignation is due to increasing unforeseen commitments.
"Whereas we still believe in this journey and give our word to continue supporting the Governor to deliver on her mandate - and due to emerging and increasing commitments earlier unforeseen, I have today tendered my resignation from the said office, with immediate effect," reads part of his resignation letter.

According to Jakakimba, Wanga's appointment was predicated on the idea that the county required new leadership and that the residents of Homa Bay County would achieve their goals under his direction.
Despite his departure, he continued the county’s leadership with his entire backing.
"Even so, I wish to heartily thank Governor Wanga for believing in me. I take this opportunity to reiterate my personal and our people’s continued belief in the incredible governance style that Governor Wanga has grounded in Homa Bay. The Governor can count on our unending and unconditional support in her obviously tireless efforts to see the devolution enterprise work for the people of Homa Bay,” he said.
In October, he was assigned to the job after working for Raila Odinga, the previous prime minister, for many years and in various positions.
After leaving Raila's side, Jakakimba was reportedly warming up to the Kenya Kwanza administration when he resigned.
