Maliha Mohammed, a Kenyan chef hailing from Mombasa, made history in 2019 by cooking continuously for over 75 hours. On Monday, she once again broke a record.

The chef broke the record for the longest cooking marathon in a home kitchen.

If recognized by Guinness World Records, the self-taught cook will replace American Rickey Lumpkin of California, who cooked for 68 hours, 30 minutes, and one second in December 2018.

On Monday, August 14, 2023, the Kenyan chef broke that mark by clocking 68 hours 30 minutes 0 seconds.

The chef who plans to cook for 90 hours straight has spent the last three days showing her talents.

All of the meals will be given to orphanages and homeless children.
