After their patient allegedly fell from the hospital's fifth floor, a family from Kathaka hamlet in Ndia, Kirinyaga County, is demanding answers from Kerugoya Referral Hospital administration.
The family, led by the deceased's brother James Murimi, claims to have learned of John Muchomba's passing on Sunday, August 12.
We were astonished when hospital administration informed us that John's body had fallen from the fifth floor and was in the mortuary, according to Muriuki.
A postmortem revealed the patient committed suicide by jumping from the hospital's balcony, according to the authorities.
"We need to know if this was suicide. Why were we not informed that we discovered him at the mortuary that evening? Muriuki inquired.
