Babu Owino, Member of Parliament for Embakasi East, has been set free in connection with the shooting of Felix Orinda, commonly known as Dj Evolve.

This comes after DJ Evolve testified in court, claiming he did not witness the legislator with a pistol during the January 2020 shooting at a Nairobi nightclub.

The DJ testified virtually from his bed, saying he had no idea what happened to him because he only found himself in an ambulance.

"Did you happen to see Babu Owino with a gun?" Defense counsel Duncan Okatch questioned DJ Evolve, who responded, "No, we were just having conversations."

He did, however, admit before the Nairobi court that he was shot and injured by a bullet on that fatal day, but he had no idea from which gun.

"A bullet injured me, but I don't know from which gun," he continued. I just got into a car to go to the hospital...I discovered that Babu Owino was assisting me, and as a friend, I expected him to take care of me.

DJ Evolve probably didn't see Babu with a gun because he was busy mixing when Babu Owino shot him but CCTV caught Babu Owino with a gun. pic.twitter.com/lcTW7xIAjA
