A tragic incident unfolded as over 50 lives were lost, and more than 50 individuals suffered injuries in a devastating explosion in Pakistan. The heart-wrenching blast occurred near a mosque in the southwestern province of Balochistan on Friday, where people had assembled to observe the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad.

Authorities suspect it was a suicide attack targeting a religious assembly in Mastung. As a response, officials have swiftly declared a state of emergency.

According to reports from the police, the victims are currently being transported to two hospitals for urgent medical attention. BBC News received confirmation of the tragic death toll from two Mastung city police officials. Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti unequivocally condemned the attack, labeling it as a "heinous act."
