An unidentified person on Sunday defiled a primary school pupil in Suna West Sub-county while she was going to school in the morning.
Confirming the incident, Suna Oruba location Chief Charles Ouma said the 13-year-old girl is nursing injuries at Migori Referral Hospital.
She was going to school in the morning when an unidentified person offered her a lift in his vehicle, only to drag her to a nearby bush and defiled her.
Following the incident, the guy allegedly drove the girl to a neighboring tree plantation in the Rumours neighborhood, abandoned her there, and sped off.
The Chief claimed that boda boda riders who were nearby when the culprit abandoned the student chased him, but he was unsuccessful in stopping him.
