Foreign Affairs PS Korir Sing'oei has criticized Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi for flaunting his expensive watch during a YouTube interview on the Obinna Show. In the interview, Sudi showcased his pricey wristwatch, which a quick spot check revealed costs $128,000 (approximately Ksh. 16.6 million).
During the show, Sudi remarked, "Such watches were not created for trees or cows. Please find out its price." His display of wealth sparked reactions, with some citizens condemning the lawmaker for his perceived arrogance and insensitivity towards the impoverished public.
Critics argued that it was inappropriate for Sudi to flaunt his wealth at a time when many Kenyans are struggling to afford a single meal. Sing'oei questioned the motivation behind Sudi's display of opulence, suggesting it was a distraction from addressing more pressing national issues.

In a July Twitter Space session, Ruto shared that he sometimes felt compelled to counsel his flamboyant juniors. One notable incident involved Kipchumba Murkomen, the Cabinet nominee for Sports, who faced criticism for showcasing his expensive shoes, watch, and belt.
During an interview with Obinna, Murkomen revealed that he owned a pair of shoes costing Ksh.80,000, a belt worth Ksh. 50,000, and a watch priced at Ksh. 900,000.
