Former Meru governor Peter Munya has allegedly revealed some of the top and key leaders from Meru County who have been on the forefront pushing for the impeachment of Kawira Mwangaza.
Reacting to Kawira Mwangaza's recent impeachment by Meru MCAs Mr. Munya was on record saying that there is a very powerful force pushing for the impeachment of Kawira. And there is a hidden agenda as to why Kawira Mwangaza is now facing impeachment for the third time.
Through an Exclusive Interview with a local media Station in the Country. Munya stated that there is a group of very powerful politicians in Meru who do not believe in the leadership of a woman. And they are now using the Njuri Ncheke Council of Elders to ensure that Kawira Mwangaza is out of power.

The Senate convened for a special session on Wednesday to address the charges against Governor Kawira Mwangaza, following a vote by the Meru County Assembly in which 40 out of 69 members supported her impeachment. This marks the third attempt to impeach Mwangaza since she took office.
The charges against Mwangaza are serious, including allegations of abuse of office, gross misconduct, and gross violations of the Constitution and other laws.
The MCAs backing her impeachment argue that her leadership has been tainted by actions that undermine the rule of law and the effective governance of Meru County.
