The High Court Judge overseeing Governor Kawira Mwangaza's impeachment petition has ordered the Director of Criminal Investigations to track down and arrest a Meru resident who disrupted today's virtual court proceedings by calling for Kawira's removal from office.
The resident, identified as Moses Kimson, appeared before Justice Bahati Mwamuye during the online session, demanding to know why Governor Kawira remains in office.
“Kindly our court note that Meru we are suffering, kindly let us know why Kawira she is still holding the office. We don’t have Doctors in our hospital for more than 60 days now.” questioned the resident without any leave of the Court.
He muted his camera immediately after typing the said statement and persistently defied court order to unmute the camera and explain to the court why he was disorderly in an active court proceeding.
This angered the court and issued a warrant of arrest against the resident.
