President William Samoei Ruto yesterday told off the Azimio La Umoja Coalition to allow Members of Parliament to work with whoever they want and stop what he calls "personality cult politics".
The President responded to Opposition Leader Raila Odinga and Former President Uhuru Kenyatta's threats to suspend MPs who have pledged to work with the Kenya Kwanza government.
"For far too long, ethnic politics and personality cult politics have held Kenya captive, and we need to break free of them in order to release the potential of our people and nation and advance Kenya to the next level," Ruto said.
This follows President Ruto's intensified meetings at the House on the Hill as he woes ODM and Jubilee MPs to his camp.
Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni led more than 32 MPs to support President Ruto's government last week.

This move angered the Azimio La Umoja Coalition leadership.
It led to the suspension of the former ruling Party's SG, Vice Chairman David Murathe and National Treasurer Kagwe Gichohi.
Jubilee Party's National Executive Committee(NEC) then replaced Kioni with EALA MP-Kanini Kega as the SG, Eldas MP Adan Keynan as the Vice-chairperson and Kitu Women Representative Rachael Nyamai as the Treasurer an acting capacity.
Speaking during an interdenominational thanksgiving prayer service in Nakuru County yesterday, President Ruto noted that MPs have a right to work with any affiliation they want to and do not require a greenlight from anybody.
Further, the President has called on all the leaders to work with his government for the betterment of the people they represent.
"I want to tell all those leaders who want to work with us that we are ready to work with them. Our aim is not to plan politics but the development of the people of Kenya," Ruto reiterated.
