Integrity Watch, a civil society group has called out Azimio la Umoja Coalition Leader Raila Odinga on his continuous claims that the August 2022 elections were stolen.
The group has slammed Raila saying he cannot be the sole determinant of free and fair elections in the country at the expense of independent institutions like the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC).
The group at the same time slammed Azimio's chief for his continuous claims that the polls were stolen.
“ At a fundamental level, one can’t position himself to be the sole determinant of whether the august elections were free and fair at the expense of established institutions like the IEBC and the Supreme Court,” he said.
This follows remarks by Raila Odinga during an Interview on Ramogi TV last week asserting that he used "ethical hackers" to learn the specifics of his allegedly fraudulent election triumph.
The opposition leader noted that an IEBC insider, whom he has referred to as a whistleblower, gave him accurate presidential election results.
Further, Raila claimed that the results indicated that he won the most recent general election by a margin of 2.2 million votes.
Raila said he held off on commenting on the election results as he anticipated the whistleblower's exposé in an interview with Ramogi TV on Monday.
Additionally, Raila claimed that the IEBC pressured him into using the technological assistance of foreign hackers to discover information regarding the presidential tally.
"Since I would have been pretty depressed, I refrained from talking about the results and the elections. To ascertain the truth, I had to hunt for ethical hackers," he said.
He asserted that the results presented by former IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati were different from those recorded in the servers.
Thereafter, the opposition leader announced that the coalition will be holding a prayer session for the IEBC at offices at Anniversary towers along the University Way in the coming days.
However, the lobby group has urged the opposition leader to provide alternative solutions to the problems affecting Kenyans, especially the high cost of living rather than taking it to the streets.
