Raila Odinga, leader of the Azimio, has been instructed by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to respect former President Uhuru Kenyatta. Gachagua argued that it was improper and disrespectful of Raila to include Uhuru in his rallies in public.

Gachagua claimed in a statement made on Sunday in Lamu that they had pardoned the ODM leader for all his actions except for misleading the retired President. The DP referred to the Anti-Government Protest That Uhuru Attended In Nyanza In February After Former Education CS George Magoha's Funeral.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has urged Azimio leader Raila Odinga to show respect for former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Gachagua charged Raila with "downgrading" the former President by including him in public rallies while speaking at a Sunday church service in Mpeketoni, Lamu County.

According to Gachagua, forgiveness cannot work when a former president is being misled. The dp went further to state that, Uhuru has been given a high position by Ruto, and Raila Odinga is busy misleading the former President by taking him to rallies.

Following the burial of former Education CS George Magoha, Uhuru accompanied Raila to a public gathering in Nyanza, according to a narration by Gachagua.

"Respect our past President, please. Uhuru is our revered leader, even if he was duped and the economy was destroyed. We want to maintain his dignity, so he shouldn't be brought along to rallies," stated Gachagua.

He went further to add that damages putting a former president in the middle of politics damages the respect of Kenyans.
