Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi has reacted to the findings of the IEBC tribunal led by justice mchelule, saying that the entire process was choreographed.
The Aggrey Mucheule-led tribunal released their findings on Monday, saying that masit was found the allegations of gross misconduct levelled against IEBC Commissioner Irene Masit proved that the officer should be removed from the commission.
The tribunal further noted that Masit agreed to a proposal by Raila Odinga's Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition officials to moderate the presidential election results and force a re-run. masit and the other three IEBC commissioners, juliana cherera, Francis wanderi and Justus Nyangaya, are accused of trying to change the election results.
While speaking to citizen tv, the senator said that the tribunal's verdict was expected as it was acting in the state's best interest.

"For us in Azimio we are not surprised, we did not expect a different result from what the so-called Muchelule-led tribunal has given. The whole process is drama and choreographed to generate the results it generated," said Osotsi.
"You could see Ruto waiting in the wings to issue a gazette notice for the appointment of the IEBC panel. I think he was just waiting for that decision for him to appoint," he added
The senator pointed out that Mucheule, former IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula are relatives; therefore, the decision to remove masit from office was expected.
"You would be so naive if you expected different results. Those of us who come from Western Kenya know the family link between Muchelule, Chebukati and Wetangula," Osotsi claimed.
In the meantime, president William ruto has announced vacancies in the IEBC. On the 27th of February, the head of state appointed a seven-member selection panel to oversee the recruitment and vetting process.
