Munyaka's appointment as a CAS by President Ruto may see Ruto having an additional following from the Ukambani region. It is believed that Kenya Kwanza had wooed Kalonzo, who is believed to be the Ukambani kingpin but their efforts were futile.

Munyaka's mandate will probably be to throw political teargas at Kalonzo Musyoka and ensure President Ruto gets at least an estimation of over 400,000 votes in Machakos.


Dr. Victor Kioko Munyaka has a bright professional and political past. The Vet doctor used to run Ngelani Agrovet in Machakos before he plunged into politics. He defeated the late Daudi Mwanzia to become the Machakos Town MP in 2007.


Mwanzia was the Kalonzo Musyoka point man in Machakos, and his defeat rattled the Tseikuru man.


Munyaka has never seen eye to eye with Musyoka making him an attractive bride for anti-Kalonzo forces in Ukambani.


During the Nusu Mkate Administration, Munyaka was in the Mps committee that permitted aflatoxin-laced maize to be delivered in Kenya.



He joined the Uhuruto Jubilee Party in 2013, kept his seat, and started serving as the party's point man.


He enlisted in the Tanga Tanga brigade and ran for the UDA office to defend his seat. He lost to CCU's Mule.
