Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka has declared his support for President William Ruto.
Onyonka noted that times have changed after the campaigns and it is Ruto who is the president.
"Let us support this President to work for us, he is up to the task," Onyonka said.
The senator who has been standing by opposition leader Raila Odinga said it was time to change course while speaking in Kitutu Chache North.
Onyonka asserted that it has long supported a leader whose attempts to win the presidency have failed by quoting Kisii proverbs.

"When it fails on one side, change tack and waylay it from the other side. We have been trying the other side but have been unsuccessful,” he said.
Raila has unsuccessfully vied for the presidency five times.
Onyonka is among many politicians allied to Raila who is accompanying Ruto in his tour of Kisii and Nyamira counties.
