The wife of the Opposition Leader, Ida Odinga blasted the politician who took Raila's money but abandoned Raila in the election on August 9.
As his family has made numerous excursions for breakfast, lunch, and supper since Raila's defeat, it is evident that individuals who formerly considered him a friend have turned on him.

“The same politicians would wake up and come to my home for breakfast, lunch and supper and spend the whole day at my office. They are now insulting members of my family, forgetting they used to frequent my home, pretending to be close to the family,” said Mrs Odinga.
Speaking during a thanksgiving prayer service organized by Homa Bay County Woman Representative Joyce Osogo in Radiro village, Homa Bay County, on Sunday, Mama Ida accused the politicians of orchestrating the downfall of the Odinga family.
She strongly defended her husband, saying those trying to write him off politically were doing so for selfish interests.
Ida further stated that some of the politicians had taken to social media to paint the Odinga family negatively in the hope of being rewarded by the Kenya Kwanza administration.

The days of leaders insulting Raila Odinga, according to Ida Odinga, are over. He holds that the God in whom he believes will not permit Raila Odinga's legacy to be carried on by a racist and selfish leader.
Ida Odinga believes it is regrettable that some lawmakers who are unable to buy food for their families are busy disparaging Raila Odinga. The greedy leaders the Raila family thought were allies caused them to lose a significant chance.
