Four players have been disciplined by National Super League (NSL) newbies Luanda Villa FC for disobeying the club's standing guidelines.
Club Secretary General Benson Anima has announced that defender Gerishom Osumba would serve a month-long suspension and that Gregory Shikanga and Timothy Lumasai, the former captain of the Vihiga Bullets, have received warning letters for their participation in what the club describes as unrestricted tournaments.
In addition, during a training session, Maya Samuel received a warning for fighting with a teammate at Mumboha Sports Ground earlier this week.
"Following a joint meeting between the executive committee and the technical bench on 23rd October 2023, it was resolved that you be suspended for one month due to gross misconduct, incitement, and insubordination, which can be a bad influence on other members of the playing unit.

"It also compromises your conduct as a player," said Luanda Villa FC secretary Benson Anima in the letter addressed to Gerishom Osumba.
Timothy Ndayala received a warning from Mr. Ben Anima for competing in neighborhood competitions, endangering his capacity to perform when called upon at Luanda Villa.
"Why is our player supposed to compete in a tournament on Friday while we have a game on Saturday and he barely contributes when the league sorely needs his energy?" He went on.
Villa has struggled to produce positive results this season, even though they thrashed Mombasa Elite 5-0 in their opener. On Saturday, they were frightened when they forced a 1-1 draw at home against Kajiado FC.
Head coach Tom Tera lamented unpleasant accommodations in Nairobi and unpaid player allowances for their recent struggles after their 1-1 tie against Naivas 1-1 Villa.
"The moment my players begin thinking of their allowances they lose focus and we struggle on the pitch," he reckoned.
