The National Boxing League's final leg begins today at Kosowa Social Hall in Manyatta, Kisumu, and concludes on Saturday.

Champions from the previous season, Kenya Police, are determined to win the league title for the sixth consecutive year after taking an unassailable lead with 120 points over KDF (98). In comparison, Nairobi and Kenya Prisons are third and fourth with 30 and 27 points, respectively.

Former champions Kenya Prisons have decided to send 13 boxers and four technical officials to the event, up from five boxers in their previous appearance, hoping to finish the season on a high note after missing the Siaya and Nanyuki legs.

According to Boxing Federation of Kenya (BFK) Secretary General David Munuhe, the title is unpredictable because there is still so much in store.

"The final leg will take place from today with fierce battles expected in Kisumu. The competition is still on because the Police and KDF teams are not far apart in terms of points. You can't predict what will happen in Manyatta,” said Munuhe.
