On Saturday, February 24, 2024, Kenyan athlete Charles Kipsang passed away while finishing a mountain race in Cameroon.
According to Cameroonian media, Kipsang ran the last kilometer and looked worn out when he crossed the finish line.
The runner collapsed and could not be revived at the stadium despite not showing any symptoms of illness.
This was Kipsang's fourth participation in the Cameroon Mountain Race of Hope, where he participated in the Men's Senior Category.
