Before the Red Devils visited Anfield on Sunday, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp complimented Manchester United's turnaround under Erik ten Hag and thinks the team is still running for the Premier League title.
With a game still to play, United is third in the standings, 11 points behind leaders Arsenal.
By winning the League Cup last weekend, Ten Hag's team ended a six-year trophy drought, and they are still in the running for the FA Cup and Europa League.
That is due to the players they have signed clear that this club is here to last for the next 20 years. It is for now, but they are incredibly fantastic right now," Klopp stated on Friday during his pre-game press conference.

They've become a machine that produces outcomes. With some pretty strong performances, they are extracting results. Even while playing top football, they still produce results.
They are there because of that. Everyone is aware of their fierce competition to win the league.
Marcus Rashford's 25 goals in all competitions, a career-high, have played a significant role in United's comeback.
The 25-year-old England international scored only five goals last season, but Klopp still respected the player, whom he previously praised for his work in the fight to eradicate child hunger.
"When you are the manager of Liverpool, it's impossible to be delighted about something good at Manchester United, but I am very happy for Rashford because he had a challenging past year and wasn't performing as well as he can.
"He is playing immensely right now. His speed and technique are a combination of both. How composed he is in front of the goal, how easily he can put the ball in, and how often he scores world-class goals—everything of this nature".
In United's two league encounters with Liverpool in the previous season, United was destroyed 5-0 at home and 4-0 away.

But, the situation has changed due to Klopp's team's shocking performance decline.
Liverpool is in sixth place, 10 points behind United, and will have to work extremely hard to finish in the top four to advance to the Champions League for the next season.
While humiliating Liverpool 5-2 last week, Real Madrid exposed the Reds' flaws. It was the first time Liverpool had ever given up five goals at home in a European match.
The Premier League has shown indications of improvement, though, with Liverpool earning 10 out of a possible 12 points after keeping four straight shutouts.
Klopp remarked, "I would like to give the season a proper push.
"I said that I wanted to make the most of this season. That implies placing as high as possible, but no one is certain. As a result, we only need to take the next significant step.
