Kenya's wheelchair basketball team has qualified to compete in the African Games, which will be held in Accra, Ghana, next year.
The top two qualifiers receive automatic entry to the Africa Games. Uganda and Tanzania were supposed to meet last night in Dar to see who would join Kenya in the final. The final, on the other hand, will be a formality to choose the winner and runner-up.
Head coach Maurice Ouma is happy after bringing the nation's squad to the final of the three-day event.
After being postponed this year, the continental games will be held next March 8-23. They had previously been set for August 4-19 this year in the same country.

"We are happy that we have come this far and even recorded huge wins in all of the matches we have played," he continued. "I want to thank all of the contests for their outstanding performances, which ensured that we form Team Kenya for next year's games," Ouma stated over the phone from Tanzania.
Ouma was once the head coach of Eldonets, a national Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) league team. He claimed that the training camp moulded both the men's and women's teams into the players they are today.
"We had a productive training camp at Nairobi's Nyayo stadium." "The team chemistry was perfect, and it was on display here," he remarked.
Kenya's women's teams defeated Uganda 35-10 on Saturday, while their male counterparts defeated Uganda 60- 25.
The men's squad had defeated hosts Tanzania 68-13 the day before, while the women's team had won 30-05.
With more than one team slated to represent the area, the Kenyan women's team will also be attempting to qualify.
