Nairobi City Stars CEO Patrick Korir says the team is rebuilding for the coming season after a disappointing run in the Kenya Premier League, which is at the end of its season.
City Stars has been downhill this season, with 14 defeats, the nineties, and seven victories, leaving them hanging near the danger zone, seven points above 16th-placed Wazito.
Korir, on the other hand, is optimistic that they will avoid relegation and focus on rebuilding for the following season.
"We have performed poorly, but we want to avoid relegation and concentrate on the next season; we made some good signings, and we want to perform better next season," Korir told Citizen Digital.

Meanwhile, the manager has stated that they have given head coach Nicholas Muyoti time to turn around the team's fortunes.
"We made adjustments to the technical bench but opted to keep the coach and we hope he can turn around the team, because you know in any competition, results matter, and as City Stars, we are not different, we are result oriented."
Nairobi City Stars finished seventh last season but are now 15th with 30 points after 30 games this season.
