Sergio Busquets, a former Spain and Barcelona midfielder, has joined Inter Miami to play alongside Lionel Messi in Major League Soccer.
Messi announced his move to Miami earlier this month and will now be reunited with former Barcelona teammate Sergio Busquets. Inter Miami announced the player's arrival via Twitter.
"Si, Busi," the tweet said, referring to Busquets' nickname. Several figures in the game, including former Spain coach Vicente del Bosque, praised Busquets in the tweet.
Busquets said in May that he would leave Barcelona at the end of his contract in the summer.

The 34-year-old made 143 appearances for Spain before retiring from the national team in December.
Busquets has played a key role in Barcelona's recent success, including nine Spanish league wins and three Champions League triumphs.
Busquets was the pivot behind Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez in an iconic midfield trio that won the World Cup with Spain in 2010.
Inter Miami owner Jorge Mas stated last week that the club expects to add three to five new players to complement Messi.
"We've been preparing our roster for Messi's arrival in '23, so we've left an enormous amount of flexibility," Mas explained to the Herald.
"We will make more signings than most people predict during the summer window... I can guarantee with certainty that we will make three to five signings."
Busquets is expected to fill one of the three MLS 'Designated Player' slots reserved for high-earning players whose wages do not count against the salary ceiling.
Inter Miami has also been linked with Jordi Alba, a favourite of both Spain and Barcelona.
