Jackline Chepkoech has won the 3,000 metres steeplechase at 8:57.35 at the London Diamond League on Sunday.
Beatrice Chepkoech came in second place in a season-best of 9:04.34 followed by British athlete Pratt Aimee was third in 9:16.10.
Former world champion Timothy Cheruiyot of Kenya could only manage eighth place in the men's 1500m, which was won by Nuguse Yared of America.
Marie-Josee Ta Lou won another Diamond League 100m race in a blistering 10.75 seconds, demonstrating that she will be a force to be reckoned with at the world championships later this month.
Before the August championships in Budapest, Ta Lou, Noah Lyles (200 meters), Femke Bol (400-meter hurdles), and Chepkoech all put on outstanding performances in the penultimate Diamond League competition.
In a tightly contested 200 meters, world champion Lyles also came from behind to win. The American's 19.47-second run lowered his own personal best time from this year by two-tenths.
Letsile Tebogo of Botswana finished second in a time that set an African record of 19.50, while Zharnel Hughes—who last month broke the 30-year-old British 100-meter record—completed a historic double by breaking John Regis's long-standing 200-meter record with a time of 19.73.
In the 400m hurdles, Bol of the Netherlands demonstrated that she is in top shape by setting a new European mark in 51.45 seconds.
Sydney McLaughlin of the United States holds the world record (50.68) and Bol, who finished third behind McLaughlin at the Tokyo Olympics and second behind her in last year's world championship, will be hoping to finally win the gold in Budapest.
