Sean Cardiovillis, a well-known sports journalist and commentator, was cremated at the Hindu Crematorium in Kariakor, Nairobi, according to his employer, Capital FM, on Thursday.
The race fan, whose death was revealed on September 9, 2023, was cremated following Hindu customs at a private family gathering ceremony.
Following the incident, his family has stated that a memorial ceremony will be held at the Consolata Shrine Catholic Church in Westlands, Nairobi, on Friday next week.
Cardovillis was a Capital FM sports news presenter with a career spanning decades until he died.

Although his company would not provide specifics regarding his illness, they did state that for the previous four years, Sean had struggled with illness and had been in and out of the hospital.
