Upon the addition of Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva to the team's extensive injury list, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola expressed concern, stating that his team is currently facing a precarious situation, with the anticipation of more injuries in the future.

Silva, who last month extended his contract by one year to keep him at City until 2026, was taken off the field before the break of City's 3-1 victory over Red Star Belgrade at home in their Champions League debut on Tuesday.

City are already without key players Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones, Jack Grealish, and Mateo Kovacic due to injury.
"He (Silva) didn't say anything at the end," Guardiola said. "I didn't speak with the doctors, but apparently, for the next games, he won't be able to play."
The league's top team, City, will play home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday in an attempt to make it six wins in a row, but Guardiola is concerned about the effects of having so many important players out at once.

"We are in trouble but I am not going to say, 'Oh, we have a lot of injuries'," he told reporters.
"When we have five important players – really, really important players – injured, to sustain that for a long time will be difficult. But it is what it is."
