The Head of Public Service says he is open to meeting with doctors on the condition that they suspend their strike.
In a statement, Felix Koskei stated that the 'whole-of-the-nation approach committee on the health sector' meeting would occur 24 hours after the striking medical professionals had left the streets.
Koskei stated that the action should be by a court order given on March 13 and then extended on March 20 to halt the strike led by the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists, and Dentists Union (KMPDU).

The committee addressed a long-standing disagreement between health workers and the government about wage arrears, intern postings, and compliance with the 2017 Complete Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Doctors convened their initial committee meeting on March 21, during which they addressed 19 problems.
A Technical Subcommittee was then constituted to discuss the concerns. It consists of four delegates from KMPDU, five from the Council of Governors, one from the Public Service Ministry, three from the Ministry of Health, and one from the National Treasury.
The Technical Committee met on March 22 and 25 to resolve the conflict.
As of March 14, doctors had taken down their tools and promised not to return to work until the government responded to their demands.
They have rejected the government's Ksh.2.4 billion offer, claiming it does not honor their agreement.
