The channel was reportedly shut down moments before the live broadcast was scheduled to begin. This conversation was highly anticipated by many Kenyans who were eager to hear Owino's insights on the finance bill. Due to the shutdown, the interview was recorded and later uploaded to another channel, causing inconvenience and delays for the eager viewers.
Babu Owino expressed his frustration, stating that the government is resorting to desperate measures to push through its unpopular agendas without facing opposition from the Kenyan populace. He emphasized that silencing dissenting voices and restricting open discussions on critical issues is not the way forward.
