Due to the advent of an unidentified epidemic in Tanzania, Kenya is on high alert.
Officials at the Ministry of Health Port service at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) were requested to guarantee the improved screening of visitors arriving from the country in an internal memo.

This is to inform you that on March 17, 2023, Tanzanian health officials reported an outbreak of an unspecified pandemic sickness that is thought to be contagious. According to the memo, five fatalities and seven infections have currently been reported.

According to the document written by Mr Benjamin Murkomen, the port health officer, the illness' signs and symptoms include fever, vomiting, bleeding from various body areas, and liver failure.
Tanzania reported a Marburg virus epidemic on March 21.
