Chebet overcomes the rain to win the 127th Boston Marathon men's event, while Hellen Obiri wins the women's race. All of the 2023 Boston Marathon results may be found below. 

Kenya's Evans Chebet has won the Boston Marathon at a pace of 2:05:54, ending the aspirations of Kenyan world record holder Eliud Kipchoge.

Kipchoge had hoped to win his 16th marathon out of 18, but he slipped out of the lead pack at 30 kilometres, shattering his Boston dreams.


In the end, Chebet won the men's race, his second Boston victory in as many years, with Tanzania's Gabriel Geay coming in second and Kenya's Benson Kipruto third. Kipchoge came in sixth position, clocking a time of 02:09:23.

Hellen Obiri stole the show in the women's race with a charge to the finish, earning a victory in 2:21:38. The Kenyan finished 12 seconds ahead of Ethiopia's Amane Beriso, with Israel's Lonah Salpeter finishing third.
