Twa twa is a word commonly used in Kenya. However, not many people know how the word came into being.
Pastor Sue Munene went viral with just a few words, 'Twa Twa' that she mentioned while delivering a sermon about marriage to her congregants.
Pastor Sue and pastor Joseph Munene have been married for over 20 years. Both serve as pastors and leaders of the Overcomers Hope Ministries Church in Kasarani, Nairobi County. The preacher and her husband were invited to do interviews at various media outlets after their sermon, which went viral across the nation. Her husband could not conceal his happiness or his thanks to her for always pushing couples to have healthy and happy marriages.
It was intended to be a euphemism because Pastor Sue Munene couldn't tell the group directly things about intimacy. The word "twa twa twa" became a convenient phrase to describe the act. She did not think the video being taken as she spoke would become popular.
