The CEO and founder of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, revealed via Facebook on Tuesday that WhatsApp now allows users to sign in with a single account on up to four different devices. Users of WhatsApp will benefit from the new features improved use and convenience.

While Mark Zuckerberg announced the new development allowing users to log into a single WhatsApp account on up to four devices, he did not provide further details about it. Previously, users were unable to log into the same account on multiple devices. However, according to the WhatsApp blog, users can now link their accounts on up to four additional devices, similar to how accounts can be linked on WhatsApp Web, tablets, and desktops.

According to the WhatsApp Blog, each paired phone will connect to WhatsApp individually, ensuring end-to-end encryption of users' private messages, media, and calls. WhatsApp also stated that users would be automatically logged out of all connected devices for security reasons if the primary device is dormant for an extended period of time.

The ability to link phones as companion devices make messaging more convenient, as users can switch between devices without the need to sign out. The new update has already started rolling out to users worldwide and will be accessible to all users in the next few weeks.
