The prime suspect in the brutal murder of Nairobi Hospital Acting Finance Director Eric Maigo, Anne Adhiambo Akinyi, is not a minor and is ready to stand trial.

An age and mental assessment at Nairobi's Mathari Hospital established that the suspect in the murder is an adult of sound mind, contrary to initial allegations that she may have been a teenager.

According to sources close to the investigation, the age and mental exam will be presented in court after the 21 days have expired.

On the morning of October 15th, Adhiambo was recorded on CCTV fleeing the scene of Maigo's murder in Nairobi's Jamhuri neighborhood.
