A form four student has been killed and several houses burned down in a suspected love triangle in Musunji village, Cheptulu, Vihiga County.
According to reports, the boy was killed by his colleagues following a disagreement over a village girl.
Village residents retaliated by attacking the suspect's home, torching it, and then cutting down plants on their farm.

The raid resulted in the arrest of two individuals, according to Hamisi Ruth Langat, the local police chief.

According to Priscilla Wanjiru, the mother of Sebastian Njoroge, she learned about her son's death from unofficial sources rather than from the school's administration.
According to reports she received, her son apparently died at school on Friday last week, and the cause of death mentioned is inconsistent.
"At one time I was told that he was injured while playing football, while in another instance, I was told that he was beaten by another student while at the Assembly." she said
The school did not respond to a request for comment on what caused the death of the 15-year-old boy.
According to Wanjiru, the Chuka County Referral Hospital administration verified that Njoroge's body was received at their mortuary, and area police boss Paul Kuria confirmed that a teacher reported the death at the Chuka police station.
