In a reported argument over food, an 18-year-old man killed his older brother by stabbing him, according to police in the Bondo subcounty.

Before they got into a fight that ended with the student's death, the form four student at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Secondary School reportedly had a disagreement with his older brother Brian Otieno over food.

Kennedy Amolo, Senior Assistant Chief at the Maranda sub-location, claims that the artificial dinner, which they ate with his brother Brian.

He claims the suspect chose to feed their dog the remnants of their dinner after eating. Brian took offense at this, and after a heated argument, he picked up a panga and killed his older brother with a knife.

The man instantly killed the older brother by hacking him in the neck, according to the Assistant Chief, who spoke with Ramogi FM.

Amolo confirmed the incident and said the police took the deceased's body to the mortuary of Bondo Sub-County Hospital so a postmortem could be performed.

He said the suspect got away after killing his older brother with a hacksaw. They are looking for him.
