It has been reported that a police officer in Kericho East sub-county, Kericho County, assaulted his colleague after inviting him to their station regarding a printing machine malfunction.

According to a police report, at approximately 16:00 on Tuesday, Gideon Kipng'etich called Caleb Manani to the station to explain why he believed Kipng'etich was using the computer and printer before they experienced a technical issue.

"On arrival at the station, an argument ensued between the two officers and in the process Kipngetich grabbed Manani and pushed him on the ground and he started punching him on his face causing injuries on his mouth and nose," read part of the report.

Additionally, it is said that the station printer—which cost Ksh.30,000—was also damaged.

After being taken to Kericho Referral Hospital, Manani received treatment and was released in a stable state.
