Police have arrested one suspect and seized bhang with a street value of Kes 1M within Migori town in Suna West Sub County.
Confirming the incident, Migori County police Commander Francis Nguli said the bhang which were packed in five sacks and were sandwiched with sardine, were being transported to an unknown place using a probox when it was intercepted by the police.
Nguli said the police, acting on a tip waylaid the vehicle along the Migori-Rongo highway and upon search, the found the bhang packed in five sacks.
Further, he said the suspect is in police custody waiting to be arraigned in court and charged with the offense of having narcotics.
The bhang has also been kept in police custody and will be produced in court as exhibits.

Meanwhile Nguli has reaffirmed commitment to the fight against narcotics as he appealed to the members of the public to support the security officers in the fight.
