Seeking justice, a middle-aged Suna West, Migori County resident claims that her former husband stabbed her during a church service on Saturday.

According to Risper Akoth, who is presently receiving treatment at Migori Level 4 Hospital, the man they split up with some months ago discovered her sitting in church and stabled her before escaping the area.

Speaking about her experience, she said that following the attack, the suspect—who happens to be a church member—threatened to kill her. According to Akoth, other churchgoers never stepped in.

The victim claims that after the suspect threw her out of his house, she severed her relationship with him several months ago and even got married somewhere else.

Joshua Otieno, her current spouse, claims that the attack happened right after he left the church. Otieno was told not to go to the attack scene even though she hurried to see how her wife was doing.

In the meantime, Julius Nyambia, the victim's father, has demanded a prompt investigation and the suspect's arrest because they wish to ascertain the attack's motivation.
