Chepalungu, Bomet County, police are looking into an incident where an Assistant Chief's body was discovered floating in a pool of water 100 meters from his home, seemingly drowned.

Phanton Analo, the head of Chepalungu police, confirmed the incident to Citizen Digital, stating that locals found the body of Kapsimba sub-location administrator David Kipronoi Tonui and notified the appropriate authorities.


Analo stated that the deceased had a small amount of head trauma.

The deceased was last seen at the Kapisimba Trading Center, according to a police report that details the incident.

Since then, the deceased's body has been moved to the mortuary at Longisa County Referral Hospital while a post-mortem is conducted.
