The High Court has postponed the delivery of judgment in the case where Joshua Irungu alias Jowie and former TV news anchor Jackie Maribe are charged with the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani to January, 26, 2024.

This is the second time the High Court has postponed the judgment delivery. Initially, it was to be issued on October 6, 2023 but was deferred after Lady Justice Grace Nzioka was reported to be ill.

It was later pushed to December 15, 2023, was set but the delivery of the verdict has again been put off again.

While postponing the judgment on Friday, Justice Nzioka said she had yet to complete scrutinizing part of the exhibits submitted to her on Monday this week.

The judge told the parties in the case that “three gunny bags” of exhibits were submitted to her and she would need more time to peruse them in a virtual submission.

The said exhibits include items such as clothing bottles, among others.

The main accused person Joshua Irungu, had pleaded with the judge to deliver the judgment before Christmas, arguing that it has been a long and agonizing wait for him and his family.
