Police in Bondo, Siaya County, are investigating an incident where the body of a 35-year-old man was found dumped by members of the public.
Florence Okwach, mother to the deceased, was informed of her son’s death and later reported the matter to the authorities.
“I received news of my son’s death from those who found the body. I was told that my son was killed,” she said.
According to preliminary reports by the police, the man was killed by unknown assailants and his body was dumped in the area.
Police officers visited the scene and found the body, which had a deep cut on the right side of the head, cutting through the ear.
Confirming the incident, Siaya County police commander Cleti Kimaiyo says the body was taken to Bondo Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
