Armed bandits on Tuesday evening shot dead two more people in the Yatya area in Baringo North Sub-County.

Police say the armed assailants ambushed the middle-aged men near the center and opened gunfire indiscriminately, killing them on the spot.

Locals fled the area after hearing tales of armed bandits holding the village captive as a result of the incident, which raised tensions in the community.

This occurred just a few hours after three people—a father, his wife, and their two-year-old child—were killed by armed bandits who raided a home.

The three family members were ambushed and shot at while traveling to a pass-out ceremony in the area, according to the locals.

While people attempted to save the woman and her child, the man passed away instantly.

The deceased people's bodies were taken to the mortuary at Baringo County Referral Hospital.
