Police officers in Kasarani are investigating a case in which a woman's body was discovered sliced into pieces and thrown in a dustbin.

According to the police report, the body parts were discovered and placed in a trash collection site of Green House Apartment House Within Roysambu Along TRM Drive on Sunday morning.

On Saturday evening at about 3:00 pm, an unknown middle-aged male is said to have checked into a short-term rental located within the apartment.

The owner of the furnished apartment was summoned the next morning around 9:20 am when the apartment's carer discovered signs of blood.

"They followed the blood stain traces, which led them to a dustbin collection point where they discovered remains of a person, which prompted her to call the police," according to the police report.

According to the authorities, the unknown male murdered the unknown middle-aged woman by "chopping her into pieces, stuffing the remains into polythene bags, and disposing of the remains off in the dustbin."

“The CCTV footage displays the suspect wearing a black jeans trouser, black jumper, navy blue shirt, specks and white cup,” the police said.

Kasarani police officers arrived on the spot and took the body to the mortuary for examination as hunt for suspects continues.
