About the brutal murder of the land surveyor who was slain last week outside his home in Narok town, police have detained three persons.

Isaac Masinde, the commissioner for Narok County, confirmed the arrests to Citizen Digital, stating that the three are assisting the authorities in finding additional suspects who might have taken part in the execution of Lawrence Nkamasiai.

Masinde reiterated that the police would hold everyone accountable for the crime while withholding the names of the three suspects and speculating that Nkamasiai's murder may have resulted from a botched land deal.

The funeral for Nkamasial, who passed away on January 10, took place at his Naikarra, Narok West Constituency, home on Saturday afternoon.

His funeral occurred just as things were getting back to normal in Narok town after a wave of unrest stemming from heightened security and nocturnal murders by enigmatic assailants.

Since then, Patrick Ole Ntutu, the governor of Narok, has called a security meeting to discuss several issues, including dividing the town into four security zones and stepping up police patrols to root out murderous gangs.
