Police in Kiambu County's Gatundu South constituency are investigating the murder of a 55-year-old woman from the village of Gwa Kahata, who was stabbed twice in the neck and had her left breast removed.
The suspect is said to have attacked the woman on Sunday as she left church before killing her.
Gatundu South police commander Jonathan Koech confirmed the incident, saying that no suspects have been arrested and the motive for the murder has yet to be established.
The woman was said to have lived with her elderly mother.
The victim's body has been taken to the Gatundu Hospital mortuary.
