The High Court has extended orders preventing the suspension of 67 police officers.

While extending the orders, Justice Chacha Mwita directed all parties to file all responses and submissions for highlighting by May 6, 2024.

In the case, Memba Ocharo, represented by lawyer Danstan Omari, claimed that EACC's directives to the Inspector General of Police were malicious and illegal.

The anti-graft body is allegedly investigating sixty-seven officers on corruption charges.

They challenged Felix Koskei's decision to suspend them due to allegations of corruption.

The Inspector General of Police, Japhet Koome, Attorney General Justin Muturi, the President's Office, the EACC, the National Police Service Commission, and Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki, as well as their agents and anyone else, are not permitted to interfere with the 67 police officers.

They are expected to carry out their duties until further orders from the court.
