A truck carrying building supplies crashed into booths at P. I. Trading Center on the Mwea-Embu highway, seriously injuring a woman and totaling two motorcycles.
According to eyewitnesses, the truck ruptured one of its tires while traveling from Mwea to Embu after hitting a pothole. Motorcycles were destroyed and the woman was struck when the truck's driver lost control and drove off the road.
Jane Wangeshi claims that because the lorry was moving quickly, the woman by the side of the road could not flee and was struck by the vehicle.
According to her, boda boda riders could escape their motorcycles after the lorry smashed into them.

The woman is treated at Embu Level Five Hospital after being sent there in an emergency.
According to Wangeshi, there has been a rise in traffic accidents on the Embu, Mwea, and Makutano roads because of the road's poor condition caused by large potholes.
Locals now want KENHA to fix the highway quickly to prevent future collisions and casualties.
