Three people were arraigned on Monday at Milimani Law Courts for publishing false information, violating Section 23 of the Computer Misuse and Cyber Crime Act.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Arjun Chauhan Surya, Aftab Afzal Abass, and Ajmal Amershi Karim were detained while hiding in Mombasa, Kitengela, and Nairobi following the incident reported by the complainant at Nairobi's Parklands police station.
They pled not guilty to the charge and were released on a bond of Ksh.200,000 each with a surety of the same amount or a cash bail of Ksh.100,000 with two contact persons.
